EVERYTHING But The Girl's Ben Watt will indeed be everything but the girl when he plays Fibbers, York, with his trio on Sunday at 8pm.

Joining the one-time University of Hull student will be two of the key contributors to Hendra, Watt's first solo album in 31 years, namely lead guitarist and constant tour compadre Bernard Butler, of Suede fame, and percussionist Martin Ditcham, who has drummed for Talk Talk, The Waterboys and Sade.

After 20 years alongside Tracey Thorn in Everything But The Girl, and ten as an international DJ and label owner with Buzzin' Fly, Watt returned to his singer-songwriter folk-rock roots in April this year with Hendra, more than three decades since his cult classic North Marine Drive.

Expect songs new and vintage from Watt, who will be contributing vocals, guitars and electric piano to Sunday's gig, when Meadowlark and Marbled take the support slots. Tickets cost £14 at fibbers.co.uk
