KING Creosote presents his From Scotland With Love album in concert at the Howard Assembly Room, Leeds, on Saturday at 7.45pm.
Scottish folk singer and songwriter Kenny Anderson, alias King Creosote, composed the songs to accompany a documentary film; the first time he has found himself writing the stories and perspectives of other people as he addressed themes of love and loss, war and resistance.
The album's release coincided with Glasgow's Commonwealth Games and had even more resonance at the time of the Scottish referendum as all eyes turned north. Now he is touring the songs in England; tickets for Leeds can be booked online at operanorth.co.uk
Saturday's support act will be Oxford musician Charlie Cunningham.
