THE Ebor Singers will perform the October concert for the York Late Music series at at the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate, York, on Saturday when composer Eve Harrison will give a pre-concert talk to introduce her as-yet-untitled new work.

Eve will discuss her Late Music commission at 6.45pm, when concert ticket holders can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine before the 7.30pm programme, Come, Sable Night: Musical Responses To The Arrival Of Darkness From The Renaissance To The Present Day.

Along with Eve's premiere, Saturday's concert will feature William Byrd's Lumen Ad Revelationem; Thomas Tallis's Te Lucis AnteTerminum and In Manus Tuas; John Ward's Come, Sable Night; J S Bach's Gute Nacht; Josef Rheinberger's Abendlied; Paul Mealor's ...And Profoundest Midnight Shroud The Serene Lights Of Heaven; Einojuhani Rautavaara's Ehtoohymni (Evening Hymn) and Kerry Andrew's Dusk Songs.

Tickets cost £10, concessions £8, on the door.
