THE Times reckons Glasgow’s The Amazing Snakeheads are one of Britain’s most exciting new bands, and who are we to argue with “The Thunderer”?
Judge for yourself when they visit the Fruit Space in Hull on October 9 and The Duchess in York on October 12, brandishing their debut album of rage, romance and dark humour, Amphetamine Ballads, whose April arrival on home soil has now been backed up by its American release.
This year, the Glaswegians have supported Jack White, headlined the BBC Introducing stage at T In The Park and played the Secret Garden Party, Stockton Weekender, Reading, Leeds and Bestival festivals to promote an album that stands up as a monument to the redemptive powers of rock’n’roll.
Excited? You should be.
