YORKSHIRE troubadour Daniel Pearson will play at Fibbers, Toft Green, York, on Monday night.

The Beverley-born singer-songwriter, who now lives in Leeds, blends elements of indie rock, country and classic rock'n’roll in his soulful songs, such as Waves In The Sea, which he has made available as a free download this summer.

Pearson's music has been aired on BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing, Xfm and the Australian radio station Triple J and he has been featured in such magazines as Uncut, Drowned In Sound, Sabotage Times and No Depression. He has supported Michael Kiwanuka and Willy Mason on tour and played headline dates in Britain and the United States.

His July tour coincides with the re-issue of his 2011 debut album Satellites, which he followed with 2012's Mercury State. He will be supported at his 8pm York gig by Marck CK, Sam Griffiths and Oliver Pinder.
