New Earswick Folk Hall
MAIN Street Sound Ladies Barbershop Chorus hold their summer concert at the New Earswick Folk Hall on Saturday, fresh from winning five trophies at the Cleethorpes and Grimsby Music Festival last weekend.
The Acomb chorus, together with associated quartets and a vocal ensemble, competed in the event at Cleethorpes on the back of similar success at Harrogate in March.
Incidentally, two members make the journey from Cleethorpes every week to rehearsals in York, while a number of the singers taking part last Saturday were new members, who joined after a Learn to Sing course in February.
