VANCE Joy will play Leeds Brudenell Social Club on September 26 in the wake of the Top Ten success of the Australian’s breakthrough hit Riptide.
Over the past few weeks, Joy has recorded his debut album with Ryan Hadlock in his Bear Creek Studios, near Seattle, ready for release in 2014. “They actually have a tree house studio,” says this lover of the outdoors, who thrived on being 20ft up in the air in such a unique recording space. “The time I spent here was really great. It was cool being able to live at the studio”.
