TV GARDENER and Arctic adventurer Charlie Dimmock will be visiting York’s Hungate development later this month to demonstrate how to grow a kitchen garden if your outside space is limited to a patio or balcony.
Charlie, who is currently appearing on ITV1’s 71 Degrees North celebrity challenge programme, will be in Hungate on Saturday October 29 to give three demonstrations; at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Guests at each demonstration will also enjoy afternoon tea and a tour around the site’s archaeological dig, and have a chance to look around a showhouse, as well as entering a draw to win one of three signed copies of a book by Charlie.
The event is free but as places are limited, they must be pre-booked on 01904 676797, or by visiting the Hungate sales and marketing suite, which is open between 10am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
