THE annual Selby Beer Festival saw 300 people come from across North and West Yorkshire to enjoy the hospitality of the town council.
Tickets sold out two weeks ago, and bands Colours And The Kids and Pepper Hearts performed at the event on Saturday.
Selby Town Council clerk Karen Mann said: “People were up dancing and enjoying themselves. They travelled to the event from far and wide – Liversedge, Saltaire, Bradford, Hull and local towns and villages.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to Brown Cow Brewery and all the sponsors – Mayfair Security, Planet Platforms Ltd, Selby Globe Community Cinema, Andrea Hall Graphic Design, David and Tina Kidger, Michael Cooney Plumbing and Heating, Nigel Adams MP, Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors, Brook Street Deli, Powerjive, Space Creative, David Sykes Electrical and G&S Hire Ltd for their support. Thanks also to Truly Scrumptious for providing lovely food throughout the event. Also a big thanks to the town council staff and volunteers, without them the event would not be a success.”
The town council also wants to hear from visitors to the event on ways it can be improve, or highlights from the weekend, via email to hello@selbytowncouncil.co.uk
