EVER wondered what goes on inside the newsroom of one of the world’s most popular and prestigious newspapers?
No, not The Press but the New York Times. Andrew Rossi’s new documentary, Page One: A Year Inside The New York Times, will be shown at City Screen, York, at 6.15pm tonight (Tues).
For a year, Rossi had access to the paper’s Media Desk, a subdivision founded to track the shifting tide that is changing the face of the news industry. His film reveals the inner workings of the news media and highlights the hopes and fears of the staff whose dedication to journalism is redefining what it means to make a newspaper in the 21st century.
Charles Hutchinson, The Press arts reporter, will take part in a post-screening discussion. Box office: 0871 902 5726.
