POCKLINGTON Arts Centre will follow up a feature-length screening of The Trip To Italy on May 21 with a satellite live broadcast of its two stars, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, in conversation from the host venue, the Hackney Picturehouse.

Reprising the formula of director Michael Winterbottom’s BBC television series The Trip, Coogan and Brydon travelled the length of Italy reviewing restaurants for The Observer.

Nominally this offers "endless high-end food porn", but The Trip To Italy turned into a chance for the two comedians to engage in gently argumentative. As they took in the restaurants of Liguria, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi and Capri, they talked about life, love, work, exile, Byron and Shelley.

Exclusive to cinemas, May 21's special event reunites Coogan and Brydon to discuss the series and take questions from the audience after the film edit , which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah earlier this year.

Tickets for the 8.15pm screening and satellite conversation cost £14 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
