ARTISTS have been expressing their views and inspirations on life in the early 21st Century as part of The Crunchtime Initiative 2010.
Artists from as far a field as Senegal, Bosnia and Iceland, mixed with local Yorkshire talent, at the exhibition at the New School House Gallery, in Peasholme Green.
Event director Graham Martin said: “Global concerns are increasingly on the minds of everyone. Crunchtime 2010 aims to present a snapshot of artists’ responses to the issues of living in the early 21st Century.”
Artists in residence from the Free International University, of Amsterdam, planted a tree and placed a stone next to Skeldergate Bridge, as a souvenir of their visit.
This ritual is part of the 7,000 Oaks project, which aims to plant more trees around the world.
