KEZY Feaster's paintings and prints of the North Yorkshire landscape go on show in her From Moor To Coast exhibition at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, from April 13.

Kezy, from Newbridge, Pickering, captures the landscape's dramatic beauty and changing moods through mixed-media paintings, interpreting the moorland and clusters of houses that nestle on coastline cliffs in her own quirky way.

“I initially studied ceramics at Bath Spa University but, after a gap year, my friends offered me a space in their studio in Pickering,” says Kezy. “Leaving the ceramics behind, I started to focus on painting the local landscape.

“In my work I aim to capture the feeling of a place. I see the moors and coastal towns in all moods, lights, weather and seasons and I try to reflect this. I love working with mixed media and experimenting with layering colour and texture.”

From Moor To Coast will be exhibited in the SJT gallery from April 13 to May 27 from 10am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays, except during show times. Entry is free.
