ANN Petherick's Kentmere House Gallery, in Scarcroft Hill, York, will play host to open weekends on January 7 and 8, January 28 and 29 as part of York Residents Festival and February 4 and 5.
"After the frenzy of buying for others, January and February is the time for treating yourself," suggests Ann. "Buying a piece of original art will ensure that you have something that's exactly to your liking and will last a lifetime.

On show and for sale are Keith Roper’s semi-abstract landscapes; witty family scenes by Susan Bower; seascapes by John Thornton and atmospheric townscapes by York artist Myles Linley; works by Elaine Turnbull, David Greenwood and Michael Ewart and more besides.
Gallery opening hours are 6pm to 9pm on Thursdays, 11am to 5pm on the aforementioned weekends and at other times with a phone call in advance on 01904 656507.
