DALE Bowen will visit the Braithwaite Gallery, in Low Petergate, York, tomorrow afternoon in a Meet The Artist event from 1pm to 4pm.
Bowen was a master potter at Coalport China and Wedgwood before declaring painting to be his first love. His playful acrylic originals are packed with colour and texture, with animals, people and vehicles hidden among the vibrant, whimsical landscapes, and the humorous title of each work reveals the Staffordshire artist's affection for each scene.
"The joy with which Dale paints is evident in each and every one of his creations," says Anne Braithwaite. "This is Dale's first exhibition in York; if you enjoy bright, quirky, fun artwork, come along and join us at the Braithwaite Gallery to give him a great Yorkshire welcome."
