BLUE Tree Gallery's Winter Exhibition in Bootham, York is presenting work by six artists until January 16.

On show are original paintings by Janine Baldwin, a Yorkshire artist who exhibits in London and has just won a prize at the New English Art Club, Mall Galleries, London.

Colin Carruthers, from the Midlands, paints landscapes full of texture and now adds York to the Home Counties, Cotswolds and Scotland on his list of exhibition locations.

Ian George, originally from South Africa, now lives in Yorkshire and shows his work in London and the north; Janet Golphin exhibits colourful still-life pieces and has work in The Queen’s Collection and in the late Queen Mother's Collection too. Sharon Winter, from East Yorkshire, specialises in figurative paintings with echoes of John Bellany and Marc Chagall.

As ever, Blue Tree Gallery will be showing work by Giuliana Lazzerini, a Tuscany artist who now lives in York and has exhibited in London galleries and all over England and Scotland.

Original prints, sculpture, ceramics, glass and jewellery by other artists and makers are being exhibited too.
