THE Mighty Boosh comedy turn and artist Noel Fielding is exhibiting works from his He Wore Dreams Around Unkind Faces collection at RedHouse Originals Gallery in Harrogate until October 31.

The exhibition is being held in tandem with Harrogate Theatre, organisers of the on-going 2015 Harrogate Comedy Festival, at which Fielding's watercolour paintings were shown at the theatre last weekend.

Fielding is in Los Angeles at present, on a writing trip, and it is not known if he will attend his Harrogate show at any stage, although Richard McTague, at RedHouse, in Cheltenham Mount is still hoping so.

Fielding's original watercolour paintings in Harrogate are taken from his He Wore Dreams Around Unkind Faces exhibition unveiled earlier this year at the Royal Albert Hall. "The show was a unique event for the historic London venue and saw artist Damien Hirst, amongst others, purchasing Fielding’s artwork," says Richard.

After training at Croydon Art College, Fielding went on to create many of the make-up and costume designs for The Mighty Boosh, as well as providing the animated segments and creating and appearing as Vince Noir.

Fielding’s first solo exhibition, Psychedelic Dreams Of The Jelly Fox, was a sell-out success at Gallery Maison Bertaux in 2008, when collectors of his work included Turner Prize-winning artist Keith Tyson and Beatle Ringo Starr. He then exhibited the video installation for The Jelly Fox at the Saatchi Gallery in 2012, and the installation's characters later appeared in E4’s Luxury Comedy, devised by Fielding and Nigel Coan with music composed by Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno.
