ART and flowers will be on show in Heslington this weekend.
The exhibition of art by local artists is on display at Heslington Church and paintings are matched by floral art.
Heslington Flower and Art Festival is being held to help raise money to pay for a new roof for the church.
Deirdre Hopwood, who helped organise the event, said: "It's an extravaganza of local art work. Up and coming artist Mark Hearld has given one of his paintings and has donated one to be sold by silent auction for funds for the roof restoration."
On Saturday the exhibition will be open from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
Admission by programme is £2.
