STUDENTS from York College are displaying an artistic showcase of their work in an exhibition called Fusion at York Theatre Royal this month.

The exhibition, which is on until April14, features individual pieces by contemporary 3D crafts students incorporating a variety of materials and artistic processes ranging from ceramics, porcelain and stoneware to wood, acrylics, enamel on copper and mixed media.

Student Carolyn Thorpe said: "In the final year of our degree course we are delighted to have the chance to exhibit our work in a prestigious venue in the city centre. During our studies we have experimented and specialised in various art forms and we are pleased to showcase this in the Fusion exhibition.

"During the three years of the course we have all grown in confidence and in the future we hope to progress as artists and develop our creative talents."
