A NEW art exhibition will be held this month at St Leonard’s Hospice furniture shop in Heworth, York.
The exhibition, featuring work from the York Art Society and now in its second year, will run from Friday, January 17, to Saturday, February 1, starting with a preview evening on the Friday, between 6pm and 8pm.
Maria Aebi, shop manager, said: “Last year’s York Art Society exhibition in our shop was a great success, and we are delighted we are able to stage another show for them. We are grateful to the society’s president, Peter Cooke, to Ron Walker and all their colleagues for working with us on this special exhibition.”
York Art Society, which has about 200 members, was founded in 1921.
Apart from the preview evening, the exhibition can be viewed during normal shop hours of 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
