Harry Hill tickets to go on sale
6:16pm Wednesday 15th August 2012 in Comedy By Charles Hutchinson
FIGHT! Fight! It is time to battle for tickets for Harry Hill’s first stand-up tour in six years.
The mega-collared host of ITV’s Saturday evening favourite, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, will play the Grand Opera House, York, on February 11 and 12 on next year’s 40-date Sausage Time itinerary.
The York gigs come in the first week of a tour that will take in Leeds Grand Theatre on March 27 and 28 in its last week.
Harry is promising “incontrovertible proof that God exists” in a show that will feature his band, The Harry’s; a section exclusively for Tongans; a chance to catch up on Harry’s Nan’s latest ailments; the legendary Stouffer the Cat; and a debut solo stand-up spot by Gary, Harry’s son from his first marriage, who plays Alan Sugar in Harry Hill’s TV Burp.
“There’ll also be expert-whistler-of-chart-hits grandson Sam and an all-singing, all-dancing finale. Oh, and a giant sausage,” says Harry.
He last toured Britain in 2006 in Hooves, the show he performed twice at the Grand Opera House the year before in March and October.
Tickets for his York return go on sale on August 23 at £30 on 0844 871 3024 or atg.tickets.com/york; Leeds, 0844 848 2700.
