There’s nothing like having a great laugh after a hard day’s work and David Gorman delivers, with a unique and enjoyable stand-up performance.
From a priceless entrance to a climactic and “educational” dissolution, he kept the audience laughing and intrigued as to what he would pull out of his sleeve next, excluding the piece of rope and the scissors that he had tucked away there.
Although Gorman’s style of comedy may differ slightly to others he delivers material which reflects his own personality, which creates a more homely and relaxing atmosphere in which to sit back and enjoy the evening.
Gorman truly becomes himself on stage, performing and having a good banter with the audience. Although clearly a very intelligent man, he never underestimates, nor patronises the audience. Besides being as modest as a man can be, he is able to put himself in the firing line by recalling the sort of embarrassing moments in life in which you usually thank God there were few, if any, witnesses.
He has a charming and diffident persona which allows for an amazing connection and interaction with his audience, leading to surprising and hilarious outcomes. He’s definitely worth a watch.
