TANYA Lee Davis, who appeared in Austin Powers 3: Goldmember, tops the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club's May 24 bill at The Basement, City Screen, York.

Joining her will be Keith Carter in the guise of Stacey Silcox, Micky P Kerr and master of ceremonies Damion Larkin, who will introduce Tanya's bold, saucy style.

This 3ft 6ins comedian has appeared on BBC One's Live At The Apollo and The John Bishop Show and starred in Channel 4's I'm Spazticus, Sky's Abnormally Funny People and ITV's SuperHuman: World's Smallest People, along with taking a role in the film Fo’ The Love of Money.

She had a successful month-long run in August 2003 as part of the U.S. Comedy Invasion at the Edinburgh Fringe and last year she won the fourth annual Annual Norman G. Brooks Stand-up Comedy Competition in Hollywood.

Stacy Silcox, character comedian Keith Carter's latest creation, is a "deadpan comic with more of a leaning to Jack the Ripper than Jack Dee", whose acts combines "shaggy dead dog stories, psycho-delic celebrity impressions and psycho-killer punchlines". "Stacy believes he is a family-friendly light entertainer – provided you're friendly with the Manson family," says host Damion Larkin.

Micky P Kerr's act fuses together music, spoken word and comedy, with his tongue often planted firmly in his cheek and a style that has led to him being called the "b*****d spawn of cult comedy poet John Cooper Clarke". He is busy working on a new sitcom about his previous life as a primary school teacher and recording his latest album of music and comedy.

Tickets for this 8pm gig are on sale on 01904 612940, at lolcomedyclubs.co.uk, in person from The Basement or on the door from 7.30pm. The next Laugh Out Loud night at The Basement will be on June 23.
