COMEDIAN and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here 2016 runner-up Joel Dommett has a new live solo show on its way. It's called Joel Dommett: Live and is booked into the York Barbican for November 15.

The 31-year-old Rockhampton comic and team captain on Sky1's panel game Bring The Noise is noted for his highly energetic comedic style, as seen on BBC3's Impractical Jokers, ITV2's Reality Bites, BBC3's Russell Howard's Good News and Comedy Central's Drunk History. He has acting credits to his name too, having appeared in BBC2's Popatron and E4's Skins.

Dommett first played York in March 2014, appearing in a Hyena Lounge Comedy Club gig at The Basement, City Screen, on his debut stand-up tour, Practical Joker. At the time, he described his comedy as "excitable anecdotes from a charming fellow who was the best friend of the funniest guy in school who’s now an accountant".

More than three years on, Dommett will make his York Barbican bow. "We’re all very excited about Joel coming to the venue," says marketing executive Seb Santabarbara. "We love comedy here at York Barbican, and with Joel added to the bill, 2017 is shaping up to be the funniest year on record! This show should definitely be one to write on your calendars.”

Tickets cost £20.72 or £17.36 on 0844 854 2757 or at yorkbarbican.co.uk
