LAUGH Out Loud Comedy Club has a Royle engagement at The Basement, City Screen, York, on Friday night.

Steve Royle headlines the 8pm bill with support from Stephen Bailey and Bobby Mair and either Freddie Quinne or Damion Larkin as master of ceremonies.

Royle is a stand-up comedian, BBC Radio Lancashire Saturday morning presenter, actor and writer, who will be appearing in the Blackpool Grand Theatre's pantomime for the 14th year from December 9 to January 8, this winter starring in Aladdin.

For 12 years, he could be found in the guise of Mad Edgar, the court jester at Camelot theme park, where he presented more than 2,0000 "Crazy Juggling Shows". He has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour, appeared in Kay's Channel 4 series Phoenix Nights and Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere and co-founded the Slaughterhouse Live – "Laughter with an S" – character comedy nights at The Comedy Store.

Comedian, television presenter and writer Stephen Bailey has appeared on Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, supported Katherine Ryan on her UK tour and taken his show Stephen Bailey: Should've Been A Popstar on a sold-out mini-tour of Europe.

Canadian comic Bobby Mair has popped up on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, BBC2's Never Mind The Buzzcocks, BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News and Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular and was last spotted on TV kissing audience members on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC3 series, Sweat The Small Stuff.
