IS that Chris Ramsey in the picture? Yes, it is, and this particular Chris Ramsey, the North Eastern comedian, will be warming up for for next year's Is That Chris Ramsey? tour with a brace of 8pm shows at Pocklington Arts Centre on January 19 and 20.

"Our venue has built up a nationwide reputation on the comedy circuit and has become the destination of choice for comedians to try our new material," says manager Janet Farmer. "We've had sell-out preview shows by Henning Wehn, Sarah Millican and Omid Djalili and we're delighted that Chris will be making a return visit here next year.

"He has performed at Pocklington Arts Centre on numerous occasions over the years and at our Platform Festival in 2015 at The Old Station. I think this booking highlights the name we've established on the national circuit."

Cheeky Geordie Ramsey arrived on the comedy circuit in 2007 and has since starred in two series of Jason Cook's BBC Two sitcom Hebburn.

Advance booking is advised after Pock Arts Centre's upcoming comedy shows by Jeremy Hardy on October 14, Rob Beckett on November 9 and the Punchline Comedy Club with Tom Binns and Robert Auton on December 16 sold out. Tickets cost £8 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
