KNOCK Knock Comedy will return to York to present its "biggest show ever", Not On A Schoolnight, at Millthorpe School, in Nunthorpe Avenue, on October 15.

"After previous shows at The Post Office Club and Monkbar Hotel, we're stepping up our game," says Knock Knock's Steve Shooter. "We've moved to a new venue and are running from Millthorpe School’s enormous and beautiful main hall. The tiered seating and large stage make for a perfect venue for comedy, especially considering it's only a ten-minute walk to York Station and has loads of free parking."

Looking at the bill of Jen Brister, former York St John University student Richard Massara, compere Al McWilliam, Steff Todd and Isma Almas, Shooter says: "We've managed to secure the first appearance in York of excellent comedian Jen Brister, who's building a great reputation as a stand-up but also writes for Standard Issue magazine. We saw her in Edinburgh a couple of years ago and had to sign her up.

"We've put together a strong, mixed support line-up too and we'll have a bar provided by The Angel’s Share mobile bar from 7pm when the doors open for the 8pm start."

Tickets cost £8 from wegottickets.com/event/372533 or £10 on the night. The minimum age for entry is 16.
