SOFIE Hagen, winner of the 2015 Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer, brings her Shimmer Shatter show to Selby Town Hall on November 3 on her debut nationwide tour.

This year, Hagen began her Guilty Feminist Podcast with Deborah Frances-White, notching up more than half a million download so far, while her four-week London run of last year's Fringe hit, Bubblewrap, at the Soho Theatre was a sell-out, later matched by her Edinburgh return with new show Shimmer Shatter.

Hagen has branched out into television and radio too, with writing and performing credits for BBC3's Live From The BBC, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central on Comedy Central and The Now Show on BBC Radio 4, and she has appeared at such festivals as Altitude in Austria and the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

"Join one of the fastest-rising stars in comedy as she attempts to tackle her inner and outer demons in this humorous and very personal show," says Chris Jones, Selby Town Council's arts officer.

Tickets for the 2015 Chortle Best Newcomer award winner's 8pm show are on sale at £12 on 01757 708449 or at selbytownhall.co.uk or at £14 on the door from 7.30pm.
