COMEDIAN and actor Omid Djalili will undertake no fewer than 108 dates on the 2016-2017 tour of his new show, Schmuck For A Night, after adding new shows to the itinerary.

Among the gigs will be the Grand Opera House, York, on February 5 2017; Leeds Town Hall, March 24; Hull City Hall, April 22 and Harrogate Royal Hall, May 19.

“Look, I’m just trying to make sense of everything,” says the 50-year-old British-Iranian humorist, introducing his latest show in a career that has ranged from Hollywood movies and television shows in Britain and the United States to live performances on the West End stage.

His film credits include Shaun The Sheep Movie, Mr Nice, Gladiator, Sex And The City 2, The Mummy and The Infidel and he has made appearances in BBC4's Going Forward with Jo Brand, BBC1's Dickensian and Stan Lee’s Lucky Man on Sky1.

Djalili was the executive producer for the documentary We Are Many, released by Universal on July 18, which recalled the global anti-war demonstrations that took place in 800 cities on February 15 2003 in the largest ever mobilisation of human beings on Earth.
