ELVINGTON Village Hall will play host to a comedy night on April 9 featuring Mark Nelson, Suzy Bennett, George Rigden and compere Rob Riley.
Scottish comedian Nelson presents a dark-humoured, sarcastic take on the world with cutting observations and smart one-liners; Bennett, a 2006 Funny Women Awards winner, has a warm, chatty and dynamic stage presence; Rigden is a Bristol musical comedian.

Organised by Andrew Owen, the event will have a licensed bar on the night and a strictly over-18s' admission policy on account of some strong language being likely.
"Once again we will hold a charity raffle," says Andrew, who can be contacted on 07967 473533 with offers of raffle prizes. "The beneficiary this time will be the Elvington Jets pan-disability children's football team."
Tickets cost £10 from Elvington Village stores, at wegottickets.com or on 07967 473533 or £12 on the door from 7.15pm.
