JIM Davidson has rearranged last night's cancelled show at the Grand Opera House in York for Saturday, December 3.

A throat infection forced the London comic to call off his Charlton Nil gig but he has quickly put a new date in place.

Ticket holders for this adults-only touring show are asked to retain their tickets unless they want a refund from the point of purchase.

Son of a Glaswegian father, Davidson was born and bred in Charlton, London, and has travelled from drummer to window cleaner, via shelf stacker.

His show promises "an irreverent, outrageous and truthful night".

Stand-up comedian Davidson, 62, is also well known for his risqué pantomimes and for hosting the BBC1 game shows Generation Game and Big Break.

He received an OBE for his services to charity and has three coveted Showbusiness Personality of The Year Awards, from the Variety Club of Great Britain, the Grand Order of Water Rats and Comic Heritage.
