ROMESH Ranganathan and Suzi Ruffell, two rising stars of the stand-up circuit, play the Hyena Lounge Comedy Club in York tonight as they embark on their first double-header British tour.

Fresh from supporting the likes of Ricky Gervais, Alan Carr and Kevin Bridges, they bring their hotly anticipated show to The Duchess, where doors open at 7pm for the 8pm start.

The last couple of years have been incredible for Romesh, who won the 2013 Leicester Mercury New Act Award and made his Edinburgh Fringe debut that year.

It culminating in his debut appearance on BBC2’s Mock The Week, BBC1’s Live At The Apollo, BBC3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live 2013 and a regular slot on Channel 4’s weekly topical show‘Stand Up For The Week. He has hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack and made an appearance Radio 4’s long-running The Now Show.

In her show Social Chameleon, Suzi Ruffell questions why she spent 27 years trying to make anyone and everyone like her. It turns out it takes a fat bully from Swansea, a too-honest mother and searching a Parisian graveyard for someone she has never heard of to give up trying and just be herself. Please note, this show may contain traces of rapping.
