WHAT happens when you combine a former street entertainer, children's funny turn and comedy writer with a poet and artist?

The answer can be found at Pocklington Arts Centre on Saturday at 2.30pm when The Line Kings will present 90 minutes of crazy cartoons, potty poems, silly stand-up and whatever else they can think of, all served up with a "side order of wacky and dollops of loopy" for children aged seven and over.

Comedian, juggler and writer Ian Billings, who has written for Chucklevision, teams up with poet and artist Chris White to perform the story of Bitey, a vampire who wasn't very good.

"He couldn't stand the taste of meat, or the smell of blood. Whilst his vampire friends ran wild in the dark, Bitey could not find his niche. As they bit necks and ate human flesh, Bitey just fancied some quiche," runs the storyline.

Saturday's audience is invited to gasp at the silly voices; scream at the funny faces; dribble at the cartoons; and hum quietly as Ian thinks what to write next in a high-energy family show full of stand-up, drawing and an infectious joy in poetry, writing and words.

Tickets cost £6 on 01759 301547 or at pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
