PHIL Wang, Gavin Webster, Adam Staunton and Sam Avery play the Hyena Lounge Comedy Club in the Saturday Night Lounge bill tomorrow night at The Duchess, York.

"Phil Wang returns to the club this weekend to headline the 8pm show having gone down such a storm the last time he played in September," says promoter Toby Clouston-Jones.

"He's one of the true rising stars of the comedy circuit after shooting to prominence when he won the 2010 Chortle Student Comedian of the Year Award and Comedy Central's Funniest Student Award. He has since appeared on BBC Radio 4's Fresh From The Fringe, Radio 1's The Comedy Live Lounge, BBC3's Three At The Fringe and BBC2's The Rob Brydon Show."

North Easterner Gavin Webster, once a team captain on Channel 4's Does Doug Know, opens tonight's show before heading over to Leeds to headline at the Hi Fi Club.

Adam Staunton takes tomorrow’s middle slot and Sam Avery returns to the Hyena Lounge as this weekend's compere.

Tickets are on sale at hyenalounge.com and on the door from 7pm.
