SOLIHULL stand-up Gary Delaney presents his Purist show at the Hyena Lounge Comedy Club at The Duchess, Stonebow House, York, on Monday night.

The 8pm gig marks the start of the second leg of Delaney's British tour of Purist after the show's sold-out run at this summer's Edinburgh Fringe; tickets are on sale on 01904 641413 and at hyenalounge.com

"Gary Delaney is a razor sharp one-liner comedian, who's among the most quotable comics in the country," says Hyena Lounge promoter Toby Clouston Jones. "The high quantity of stand-out gags leaves his audiences struggling to remember them all."

Delaney's inventive puns have made him in demand as a writer for television and radio shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks and BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz.

He is a regular guest on BBC2’s Mock The Week and has appeared on Dave's One Night Stand, Comedy Central's Comedy Blue and Channel 4’s Robert’s Web, as well as BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends and Radio 2’s Russell Kane’s Whistle-Stop Tour.

Doors open at 7pm for Monday's two-hour show.
