JIMMY Carr has been called "the hardest working man in comedy", but he won't fall for such flattery.
"Let’s face facts, it's not that impressive," says joker Jimmy. "It’s like being the ‘Tallest Dwarf’ or the ‘Healthiest Glaswegian’. Really not that big a deal."
Anyway, THWMIC will be in York for two nights this week, presenting his new stand-up show, Funny Business, at his regular haunt of the Grand Opera House tomorrow and Saturday.
"Come for the witty and incisive musings on the human condition; stay for the k**b gags," he says. Funny Business will be a) Packed with jokes; b) Rude and offensive; c) A great night out; d) £26 a ticket .
Bearing that in mind, "f you are easily offended, don’t be a d**k about it," says Jimmy, who points out: "The show is not suitable for anyone who hasn’t bought a ticket."
Both 8pm shows are on the verge of selling out . Hurry, hurry, to book on 0844 871 3024 or online at atgtickets.com/york
