CANADIAN comedian Pete Johansson examines his various fears and faults that enlighten the spirit and educate the soul in his anecdotal new show, Several Jokes, on tour from late September to November.

Themes under the Johansson spotlight will be vulnerability, rebuilding intimacy in long-term relationships and his fear of ignorance, while he will mull over the differing reasons behind our acceptance of each other as he increases his attempts to make the world a better place.

"There's animal talk too," promises Pete, who has a terrible phobia of bees.

Johansson moved to Britain in 2008, since when he has presented such Edinburgh Fringe shows as Naked Pictures Of My Life in 2009, when he illustrated the embarrassing developments of his life and how he reached his "happy-apathy" attitude, a stasis he furthered examined in 2013's Utopian Crack Pipe.

Now 40, Johansson is a regular at the London Comedy Store venue and has appeared on BBC Radio 4′s Loose Ends and BBC3's Russell Howard’s Good News, as well as bagging a starring role opposite Ed Byrne in BBC4′s Sex Bombs.

His often autobiographical comedy style is provocative yet relaxed, silly but keenly observed.
