FOOTBALL Manager addict and rising north east comedian Tony Jameson will bring his debut Edinburgh Fringe show to Scarborough Spa on Sunday, November 23.

His show, Football Manager Ruined My Life, focuses on Jameson's apparent mid-life crisis after realising that, at the age of 33, he has spent 20 years playing the same video game.

He reckons he has achieved some good things in his life, but wonders whether that life could have been better if he had applied his energies elsewhere.

Applying a warm, amiable and conversational style, Jameson combines a mixture of silly stories with references to footballers you may or may not have heard of, but the show is more than just a riff on football. He considers whether he is an addict; is it escapism or is he just somebody who should know better?

Every performance sold out at last summer's Edinburgh Fringe, a feat Jameson repeated at this year’s Leicester Comedy Festival and Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

Tickets for his Scarborough show cost £10, concessions and under-16s £8, on 01723 821888 or online at scarboroughspa.co.uk
