WOZZON Comedy Store director Ivan Scoble is launching a new York comedy night at the Stonegate Yard bar and brasserie in Little Stonegate on Thursday, November 28.
Hosted by the luxuriously named TJ Cailjaines Da Mungs, the 7.30pm bill will present “Yorkshire’s Finest Stand-up Comedians” in ten-minute spotlights, split by a 15-minute interval to draw breath.
In the line-up will be no fewer than 11 acts introduced by Da Mungs: namely Paul Cook, Joe Ross Williams, Katie Yossarian, Jamie Higgins, George Severs, Jamie Brown, Lulu Reubens, Kahn Johnson, Debra Fayter, Eddie French and Charlie Hanley.
“I’m starting this comedy night in York to celebrate the fantastic talents of some of Yorkshire’s best stand-up comedians,” says Ivan.
“After next week’s launch, we plan on having a show every week, starting in the New Year at Stonegate Yard, which I chose because of its charm, character and atmosphere. It’s the perfect venue for hosting a night of such entertainment.”
Tickets at the door cost £5; £4 for students (proof of ID required).
