STAND-UP comedian Sean Lock will park his purple van not once but twice this month at York Barbican.

In response to only a limited number of tickets still being available for Sunday’s show, the 50-year-old Woking comic has decided to drive back north on May 28.

“We all know what white van man thinks about the world we live in but it’s time to hear a different voice, purple van man’s voice,” says Sean, who will deliver gags, opinions, deft observations and some silly voices as he crosses the country in a vehicle bedecked in pop pixie Prince’s favourite colour. “I will make you laugh like a drunken horse,” promises the 2000 British Comedy Award winner, who has been a team captain for 14 series of Channel 4’s topical panel game show 8 Out Of 10 Cats, as well as appearing on BBC2’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI and Mock The Week.

He last performed in York in 2010, when his Lockipedia show visited the Grand Opera House in March and October that year.
