Quoting Jimmy Cricket and Ronan Keating is unlikely to guarantee sales and literary acclaim for any author - let alone a sports writer.
It doesn't work in this photographic tribute to Northern Ireland's all-time record goalscorer David Healy, either.
The 96-page book contains a series of captioned pictures from Healy's career but, aside from a couple of exceptions, the images are fairly unspectacular and the words grow a little repetitive.
Phrases like "Blackburn Rovers, another club with a long history in the game" gives the publication an idiot's guide feel while England's arrival in Belfast being described as the visit of "Lord Snooty and his pals" will leave most people puzzled on these shores.
The interest to fans of Leeds United, where Healy spent three largely frustrating years, is also minimal.
Like his childhood years and career at Manchester United, only a handful of pages are dedicated to his Elland Road escapades and, strangely, he is taking a penalty in nearly every one of them.
Only one for the coffee table if you are a member of Healy's family or a Northern Ireland fanatic.
