WHO can resist trying these recipes, presented with a list of ingredients followed by careful and easily followed instructions, to achieve what we see in admirable colour photographs?

They themselves make the mouth water, but the finished products, even in my amateur way, really set the tastebuds working. A determination to reach the pinnacle of baking led him to win BBC2’s Great British Bake Off.

This book will frequently leave my kitchen bookshelf as I attempt more creations.
