CYCLISTS in Selby have another opportunity to have their bikes registered with police for free this month.
Operation UNIT was launched in Selby by North Yorkshire Police following an increase in bike thefts across the district in January.
More than 50 cycles were registered at the first event, held at Selby police station last week, and officers will hold a second event this weekend.
Properties most affected by the thefts were in the Flaxley Road estate, Barlby, Abbotts Road, Selby town centre and Brayton areas, but thefts have also been reported in the outlying villages of Thorpe Willoughby and Hambleton.
Cyclists from across the district are welcome to the event at Selby police station between 11am and 4pm on Saturday.
