New rental store to create new jobs in Selby

NEW jobs will be created in Selby town centre when a new rental service opens a branch next week.

The BrightHouse store, which provides household goods on weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments, will open in the Marketcross Shopping Centre this weekend.

Leading up to the opening, the store, which has created five new jobs for the town, will hold three days of family events from today, with face painting, balloon modellers and visits from Billy and Lilly, the BrightHouse bears.

not good news for Selby, this will just result to more debt and paying well over the odds for goods- lap top Brighthouse price £579- on the never never for two years - total cost £1,142. not a 'bright' idea.

All for more jobs in Selby and occupying previously empty shops but don't think BrightHouse is the way to go. In my opinion, they are in the same league as Wonga, et al. Making it 'family friendly' is a cover up. Why aren't the two councils in Selby working together to bring in new business from established chains and encouraging new start-up independents?

And the downmarket drive continues, but no doubt Mark Crane will say it is"Great News for Selby!" and the local paper will try their best to use "bright" in their punning headline
