THE long-term unemployed in York have been offered more support with the launch of a Government initiative designed to help them back in to work.
The newly-refurbished offices of vocational training organisation A4e in Piccadilly welcomed York MP Hugh Bayley after the company was contracted by the Department Of Work And Pensions to deliver its Flexible New Deal.
Susan Yates, A4e’s regional director added: “The Flexible New Deal programme considers barriers to work including debt, motivation and training and will address underlying reasons with a proactive individually-tailored action.”
