A NORTH Yorkshire scheme which has already found apprenticeships for 13 young people is looking for more jobseekers to join.
The £100,000 Changing Lives Building Business initiative, launched by Hambleton District Council last year, has places for seven apprentices.
It helps small businesses in the district take on apprentices either for the first time or as an additional post, with £2,000 grants being offered as long as they are spent on a candidate aged between 18 and 24 who lives in Hambleton.
Five of the 13 apprenticeships so far have led to permanent jobs, with the council having also employed 15 young people.
