VIEWERS can relive the excitement and atmosphere of York’s first marathon when Channel 4 broadcasts an hour-long TV programme tomorrow.

The highlights show, to be screened at 7.05am and again on Channel 4+1 at 8.05am, will feature inspirational stories from some of the thousands of runners who took part, images from the race helicopter and interviews with some of the celebrity runners.

The programme was commissioned by the event’s title sponsor Plusnet and produced by Dream Team Television.

Jamie Ford, CEO of Plusnet said: “This event is destined to have a grand legacy but we wanted to ensure we played our play in this and we’re proud to enable the event to be showcased across the world through this TV programme.”

A version of the programme will also be shown on British Eurosport 2 at 8am on Saturday, November 16 and British Eurosport 1 at midnight the same day; BT Sport 2 on Monday, November 18, at 7pm; Tuesday, November 19, at 11pm, and Sunday, November 24, at 6pm, BT Sport 1 on Sunday, November 24, at 11.30pm, and Sky Sports 3 at various times on December 10 and 11.
