Accounts of Zeppelin attacks and captured ships feature in an exhibition about the impact of the First World War on Goole which has opened in the town’s museum.
The exhibition, called Goole and the Great War, has been researched by dedicated volunteers at Goole Museum and will run until Tuesday, November 25.
The museum will also be commemorating all those seamen who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Curator Debbie Hardy said: “Our volunteers have worked really hard to research this exhibition. It is an unmissable opportunity to understand the effects of war on the local community.”
The museum is open Tuesday to Friday 10am-5pm, Wednesday 10am-7pm, and Saturday 9am-4pm. Admission is free and there is lift access. For further information call 01405 768963.
