MORE than £1,000,000 of Government cash has been awarded to North and East Yorkshire local authorities to help relieve fuel poverty.
City of York Council, in partnership with Harrogate, Selby, Hambleton, Ryedale, Craven, Scarborough and Richmondshire councils, won £447,000 of fuel poverty funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
The funding is part of £46 million distributed to 132 projects.
