QUEENIE the mechanical horse will be one of the visitors to Knavesmire tomorrow where she will be encouraging people to get in the saddle.
The attraction is part of the British Equestrian Trade Association’s (BETA) national initiative called Take Up The Reins, promoting horse riding as an alternative hobby for all ages.
BETA executive director Clare Wiliams said: “We were thrilled to hear that the torch will be carried on horseback.”
Everyone who rides Queenie will be presented with a certificate, goody bag and rosette.
